ID 534 · Product Compliance System – Basics
Content
The safety of products and their compliance
with legal as well as voluntarily assumed obligations are the primary goals of
all companies in the automotive industry. However, achieving these goals is
becoming increasingly challenging – diversified markets, product variations,
and complex supply chains make the requirements unclear.
The risk involved is enormous: if product
safety and compliance are not ensured, it can threaten the existence of the
entire company. Each market player should therefore address these challenges
not only in terms of individual products but systematically at the
organizational level – with a Product Compliance System.
Such a
system includes elements for the identification, monitoring, control, and
minimization of product compliance-related risks at the company level. This
allows potential dangers to be identified and prevented early on.
In this training, you
will learn about the seven building blocks that make up a Product Compliance
System. Practical examples will help you gain understanding on how to apply
these at your company.
