Content
Due to increasing globalization and a consistent trend towards outsourcing services and products, automotive suppliers play an ever larger role. The increasing requirements and changes in procurement bring opportunities, but also challenges, making strategic supplier management essential. As a consequence the parties involved must reassign their roles and tasks: Purchasing has long been about more than just sourcing goods and reducing costs, but now it is responsible for a supplier network that must be controlled.
In this three-day training the participants can develop competencies in implementing a comprehensive and efficient supplier management.
Objectives
• You will be familiar with the benefits of supplier management processes.
• You will be able to design the processes in supplier management in a technically correct manner.
• You will be able to apply the basic methods in supplier management.
• You will be able to explain the necessary activities and tasks with their respective objectives, evaluation and application options from the product creation process to training management and execute or design them accordingly.
• You will be able to describe the role of supplier management in the supply chain and in company processes and define its content.
Concept and Methods
The training alternates between technical presentations and group work. Group work supports the transfer of what has been learned into your own working practice. Special emphasis is placed on opportunities to exchange experiences.
Target Audience
Executives and personnel from quality, purchasing, production, logistics and development who deal with supplier management.
Prerequisites for Attendance
• Education in engineering, natural sciences or business administration
• At least one year of professional experience in the automotive industry (supply chain) with activities in the field of quality, process or project management
• Knowledge of statistics is a plus
Certificate of Qualification
After passing the knowledge test (Multiple-Choice-Test), you will receive a certificate of qualification.
