The purpose of this VDA recommendation is to describe the requirements for NDT-inspection personnel and their qualification taking into account the particular conditions of the automotive industry. It should be considered that this VDA recommendation is mandatory for the inspection of safety-relevant components in serial test scenarios. The application of the procedures described in this VDA recommendation must be agreed by the contracting parties.
