The test method described in this document is used to determine a uniform surface waviness parameter of unformed and cold formed, cold rolled sheet material for exposed automotive body applications with and without metallic coatings. The determined waviness parameter Wsa1-5 is used to characterize the longwave waviness of the sheet surface, which is often visible only af ter painting following a significant amount of cold forming.
