This recommendation deals with the determination methods of properties and characteristics of metal powders which are important for the automotive industry.
This provides the possibility of a generally applicable characterization as well as the harmonization of the test methods. The guide values given for different material classes serve as orientation for the user. The specification of a powder for specific applications (component, machine, parameters) must always be carried out individually by the user.
