This standard deals with the characterization of the out-of-plane elastic modulus Ez in conditions similar to the typical frequency-, amplitude- and pressure ranges of squeal events.The current standard focuses on specimens cut from end of line pads, but could be extended to the complete pad.
The aim is to provide a general measurement method to characterise brake pad material parameters for the simulation of brake noise.
