By defining borderline quality, this test fuel for gasoline injection equipment covers gasoline worldwide up to an ethanol content of 10 percent by volume [% (V/V)].The specification is based on the European EN 228, the American ASTM D 4814 and the Japanese JIS K 2202, as well as on fuel survey data from 2014 to 2018.
The individual fuel properties defined cover the maximum limits defined in the fuel standard cited above. Parameters not defined in the requirement standards are based on 90 % quantils of the field data.

RSG-E10 is a test fuel for fuel markets with ethanol contents of up to 10 percent by volume and is used for tests with and without combustion. The test fuel is intended for component and engines test benches, as well as for vehicle use.
Two types are defined, a summer and a winter grade in accordance with the seasonal and geographical climate conditions.
For the testing of special risks, optional additional components can be used. In field fuels these can be present as additives or as impurities.
