By defining borderline quality, this test fuel for gasoline injection equipment covers gasoline in China up to a methanol content of 15 percent by volume. Currently, a nationwide Chinese M15 standard doesn´t exist. The RSG-M15 specification is based on Chinese M15 provincial standards, as well as on methanol fuel survey data from 2013 to 2018.
The individual fuel properties defined cover the maximum limits given in the fuel standards cited above.Parameters not defined in the requirement standards are based on 90 % quantils of the field data.

RSG-M15 is a test fuel for fuel markets with methanol contents of up to 15 percent by volume (e.g. China) and is used for tests with and without combustion. The test fuel is intended for component and engines test benches, as well as for vehicle use.
For the testing of special risks additional components can be used optional, which can be present in field fuels as additive or as impurities.
